RICHMOND

This elegant town house on many levels required a garden that worked with the architecture and provided seating in different areas.

The basement was extended to provide a kitchen and dining room.  A stepped solution avoided tall retaining walls.  An old Apple tree was kept and is viewed from the first floor sitting room, whilst retention of a large Silver Birch tree screens the house beyond and provides another seating area.

Limestone was used for the main terraces and porous resin bound gravel around the Birch.
